NEW!!!  PLANNING INQUIRY - FROM 28th JUNE

AWAG Committee has now re-grouped following the adjourned Public Inquiry, so that they are ready to oppose the application of N Power Renewables, when their application is heard.

The Inquiry has now been scheduled to recommence on Tuesday 28th June, in Anderby Village Hall, and although a time-table is still awaited, it is believed that the Government Inspector will re-convene at 9.30am.

During the Inquiry, many local people have elected to speak and put their views forward as to why Anderby is the wrong location for the proposed onshore wind farm. With Anderby Creek now playing a central role in the new Coastal Country Park, it is even more important that we forcefully put a case against the proposed turbines to ensure that the wildlife habitats being created, do not become killing grounds for the very species they are attracting.

AWAG hope that as many villagers and visitors will attend the Public Inquiry, to show solidarity for the opposition. We are grateful for the continued support being shown, via the website and from support of the fund-raising events, which will enable AWAG to be represented during the hearing by Mr Geoff Sinclair, a man who has represented other action groups in similar positions to ours.
